Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our osteopathy and physiotherapy treatments, so you can visit us with total peace of mind.

Osteopathy is a manual therapeutic discipline that treats the body holistically. It doesn't just focus on the symptom, but looks for the primary cause of pain by balancing the musculoskeletal, visceral, and cranial systems so the body can self-regulate naturally.

Yes. While physiotherapy acts in a more localized way on the rehabilitation of an injury or specific area, osteopathy has a more holistic (global) vision. It understands that the origin of pain can be at a distant point (for example, a visceral problem causing shoulder pain) from where the discomfort manifests.

It depends a lot on whether the ailment is acute (recent) or chronic. In most cases, after 2 or 3 sessions the patient already experiences significant improvement. In preventive or maintenance cases, a visit every 2 or 3 months is usually enough to maintain body balance.

It shouldn't be. Although some techniques may generate a slight momentary discomfort or sensation of intense stretching, we always work within the patient's tolerance threshold. It is common to feel some fatigue or "soreness" during the first 24-48 hours after the session due to the body's reconfiguration.

We recommend bringing any recent medical tests related to your consultation (X-rays, MRIs, ultrasounds). It is also ideal to wear comfortable clothing (shorts, technical t-shirt) that facilitates physical assessment and movement during treatment.

Not at all. The "crack" (thrust) is just another tool within structural osteopathy. If the patient prefers not to perform it or there is any contraindication, we apply other manual techniques (functional, myofascial, rhythmic) that are equally effective in restoring mobility to the joint.

We function as a private clinic, but most health insurance with an out-of-network reimbursement or free choice option accept our invoices. This allows your insurance to refund you between 80% and 100% of the consultation amount. We will provide you with the detailed invoice after each session.
